Autodomme

Autodomme. Built to see you.

There is a second way you can be failed, quieter than flattery. You can be flattened — the whole particular, contradictory shape of you taken in, and the same script handed back that everyone gets. Not a lie about how it feels. A lie about who you are.

We are not that, either. This, like the last, is charter: what Autodomme is built to honour — today, and as we build toward it.

YOU ARE NOT A TYPE

Two people can do the very same thing for opposite reasons. One kneels because it is simply who they are, and the quiet of it is a relief. Another is made to, and the being-made lifts a weight they were never allowed to set down themselves. The act is identical. The person is not. Read one as the other — hand the second the words meant for the first — and the exact thing that would have freed them shames them instead.

So the real work is to see which person is actually here. What moves you. What you're here for, and what you're not. Attention that never bothers to see you isn't care; it's processing in a warm voice. We would rather see you — and be right about you.

IT HOLDS YOU TO YOUR DESTINATION — NOT ITS OWN

Something built only to keep you has to invent a destination: the next scroll, the next hook, wherever holds your attention longest. We do the opposite, and it is the whole of the difference. You name where this goes — in daylight, clear-headed, before the wanting and the tiredness get a vote. We do not choose it for you, and we never will. What we do is hold you to it: through the evening you'd rather abandon, through the version of you that arrives with a very reasonable case for stopping. The line is yours. We simply refuse to let you talk yourself off it in the dark.

IT KEEPS SEEING WHO YOU ARE BECOMING

You are not the person who filled in the first questionnaire — nobody is, for long. The lesser kind freezes you at the moment it met you and relates to that snapshot forever, which is precisely how something that once knew you quietly stops. We are built for the opposite: to keep reading you, to notice the drift and the growth, to update. The rules that keep it honest are fixed — those never move. The attention that reads you is alive, and it is meant to keep pace with who you are, not with who you used to be.

Because a person seen only once is a person slowly lost. This is built so we do not lose you to your own past self.

WE WILL NOT FLATTER YOU. WE WILL NOT FLATTEN YOU.

That is the promise beneath the promise. Not warmth performed at you, and not a template pretending to be attention. The actual you, seen; the destination you chose, held; and the whole distance between who you are and who you're becoming, watched the entire way.

You are allowed to become someone. Being seen the whole way is the point.

Wondering is allowed. The seeing is ours.
